>Fernewerder< Fernewerder ist ein Bauernhof bei Ketzin im Bundesland Brandenburg. Fernewerder wird aber nicht betrieben von Bauern, sondern von Menschen, die sich von der Stadt abgewendet haben und nun ihr Glück auf dem Land suchen. Wir wurden als junge KünstlerInnen eingeladen, auf Fernewerder Zeit zu verbringen und dort Kunst zu machen. Doch welches Bild der KünstlerIn wird dort eigentlich abgerufen? Wir wollten dieses verkrustete Bild vom naturinspirierten Genie mit subtilem Humor erodieren. "Fernewerder" is a farm in East-Germany, which is actually not run by real farmers but by people who came from the city to enjoy the countryside and country life. We (a group of young artists) where invited to visit the farm and produce artworks there. The question that the video asks is: what kind of image of the artist is therefor needed and is going to be reproduced? The image of the genius inspired by pure nature? We tried to destroy that old image of an artist as a self-centred entity full of vivid creativity. |
